I can’t believe it is only 2 weeks until Christmas. Everyday that passes I realize there are more and more things to be done to get ready. The tree is up and plans are made to go into the infamous turkey and ham comatose state after the big feast.
Things are really gearing up here at the Davis household. We leave as soon as Richard gets off on the 22ND of December to get the boys in New Carlisle, OH. Then we have 4 services at TUMC on Christmas Eve to run the projectors, sound board and sing. Joy Singers (the youth choir which I am the director of), the Adult Choir, the Bell Choir are all doing a anthem for the first time together. It is a song called Moonlight On The Manger. I am kind of nervous about it because it is my job to teach the kids the song but Linda White will actually be directing them the night of the performance.
The Adult choir will be going to Clarence UMC in Clarence, MO to sing our Christmas Cantata on Thursday, the 14Th. Then we sing it at our church on the 17Th at 7:00 pm. I guess Thursday will be sort of a dress rehearsal. It is a wonderful Cantata this year so don’t miss it. If you are in the area you should definitely try to make it.
Christmas with the Bagley side of the family will be on Christmas day and Christmas with the Davis side the day after. Hopefully BIL Ron will be able to make it from Springfield. Would be nice to have all the brothers together for Mom Davis.
Ending the season with taking the boys home on the 5th of Jan. They actually have 3 weeks off because of moving to a new school during that time. One good thing the first week they are here, Richard will be off for the entire week.
So probably not much time to post….I will try to give short spurts now and then to let you all know what is going on. From the Davis household to all of you…..We hope that your Christmas season is full of God’s joy and peace and may this Christmas season be a beautiful reminder of God’s love for all.
