Wow! What a day!

My day began to 5:00 am this morning.  My mother woke me up to tell me that she was leaving to head out to Arkansas.  She has a life long friend that is visiting her daughter there, and she was originally leaving on Thursday to go spend a month with her.  She received a phone call that her friend had a heart attack on Sat. morning, so she left a few days early to be there with her.

Then it was up and at ’em to get ready for worship today.  What time we had today!  The praise and worship team from Harvest Time Ministries in Bowling Green, Mo were visiting our church to lead worship.  They sang and played for almost an hour.  The spirit was moving and an invitation was given before the sermon was ever preached.

Richard preached a sermon about walking by faith not by feelings.  So often we let the circumstances of our lives dictate our faith.  Don’t allow yourself to be defined by your past, or “chained” by your current circumstances. God has also called you to be a disciple for Him. With so much work to be done, we should be growing even bolder, right in the midst of our trials and tribulations!  God allows us to go through different circumstances to strengthen our walk with Him.

After an amazing 2 1/2 hour church service this morning….we ate an amazing dinner.  The fellowshipping was excellent and we all cried, laughed, cried because we laughed, and of course, all the praise, honor and glory to God!  Then we returned to the sanctuary for more singing and praise and worship!  We were there until after 5:00 this evening.  Thus at that point making it a 9 hour day of fellowshipping.

When the praise band got all packed up, and were back on the road, we realized that it was time for our evening praise and worship to start, so we again began praising God in song, and word.  We finished off the night with another 2 hour service.  It was a most amazing time with the saints of God I have experienced in a very long time.

So all in all…we had 12 hours of non-stop praise and worship of God the Almighty Father.  We had about 40 people in the sanctuary, and it sounded like there was a 10,000 choir of angels singing.  It was the most blessed thing!  If people could just grasp that kind of worship one day a week, I think there would be fewer people “playing” church.

So as I sat down to write this blog tonight I was trying to decide what to write.  I knew there was no way I could be speechless…LOL…so I thought after the day I had I just had to tell someone about it!  Praise be to God who gives us the victory through Christ Jesus His son!
