Longing for Country Life

61/365 days of blogging

Until a little over 2 years ago my family spent 2 1/2 years on a 40 acre farm just north of our hometown where we live now.  It was peaceful living to say the least.  We took long walks across our property, and our house was always full of our kids friends.  We had the honor of constant BBQ’s, and were inundated with high winds and in the winter, the pleasure of being completely isolated for days at a time.  The bus stop for our kids was at the end of our drive way and our closest neighbor was almost 3 miles away.  Oh how I miss those days.  Simpler living at best.

What do I miss the most about the farm?  Mine and hubby’s office was on the east side of the house with HUGE picture windows that our desks sat in front of.  I can’t explain it any better than these pictures…so for your enjoyment…here is what we got to look at EVERY morning.

And at night…this…off my patio.

And that’s all I got to say about that.
