So Richard and I were talking about The last two years at CSBC and what an adventure it’s been: the tough choices we have had to make through much prayer. People have come and gone, mostly because of hurt feelings or because they were unwilling to face the truth found in the word of God. There have been many lies and rumors spread about us…and the only thing I can say is this…God would not have had it any other way…because now we are TRULY fulfilling the vision and mission that God gave him two years ago. A vision that produced our vision and mission statements. Growing, Serving, Reaching; and to Live, Love, and Learn in Christ!
Has it been easy? I say not. Has it been challenging? I tell you it is the most challenging thing I have ever taken on in my life. There have been may nights Richard and I have prayed and cried ourselves to sleep over the congregation, choices they have made to not follow God. Choices that involved putting their own flesh above God’s word. My husband recently posted; “There have been times when I even doubted God was hearing our prayers for peace and calm amidst the storms…and yet, 24 plus months later, we are experiencing a spiritual renewal and growth (as well as a physical one).
At CSBC as we reach out to the least, the last, and the lost in our area. We KNOW that the enemy has a stronghold over Brookfield. We have felt it lift from our presence when we get more than 15 miles from this town. Upon returning to the city limits, we immediately feel the oppression of a dark cloud that hovers over our small town. satan has a hold on this town and his claws are dug in deep. So deep that even amputating a limb will not remove them. We have told one another that we will NEVER give up on this town and surrounding area. Richard and I are in it for the long haul, and we will, as willing servants of the Most High God, do whatever it takes to lead lost souls to Christ. This town needs Jesus and they need someone bold enough to tell them that. I feel so blessed to be a part of a group of very loving people at CSBC who want to live their lives for Jesus. People who love the Lord. And people who want change to come about our great nation so that we might turn our faces towards God and turn from our wicked ways so that he will hear our prayers and heal our land.
The rest of the story….tomorrow
