I am married to an extraordinary minister of God, who deserves more than I can give him but for unfathomable reasons he loves me anyway, and mother to 5 boys and 3 girls, step included, ages 26-14. I home school my daughter of 14. I blog about day to day living and what God has done to bless our lives.

We live in a rural community and love the peaceful clean living where the sidewalks roll up when the sun goes down.  I love meeting new people and am intrigued by the wave of blogging on the internet.

God is first and foremost in my life, marriage, and the lives of my children. We love to study His word and being involved in our church. My husband preaches at CSBC in north Missouri,  and is very extraordinary at what he does for the Lord.  I am proud and honored to stand by his side and minister with him.

  1. Hi. Nice to read your blog and get updated on your lives. I can see that the Lord has fulfillled your prayer requests and gave you quite a mission to accomplish.

I still am Lay Leader of the Mt.Zion UMC, do lay speaking occasionally, and have completed a three year study of the Bible and Theology through Faith Bible Iinstitute.

It’s good to hear from you on Freecycle but have no car seats to offer.

  2. Jeannie,
Just went to your website this morning and the awesome things you wrote on Oct. 18th (my birthday!!) left me wanting to get Lucado’s book for my 3 youngest Granddaughters! I assume the author of this book is Max Lucado’s daughter? He is some kind of teacher/preacher/author isn’t he?! My favorite author! Besides Jan Karon but that is fiction and a whole other thing! Anyway! Just wanted to tell you I signed up to receive your feeds and I am excited to keep up with all that is going on and to be a part of the study group! Thanks! God bless!

  3. I just stumbles across your blog, it is truly wonderful, I only wish there were more posts, they seem to be quite sporatic. Your style of communicating with the woman’s woman is wonderfully refreshing and down-to-earth. Please pray about more frequent posts and information, your site is such a gem! May Heavenly Father continue to pour out His blessings on you and your family.

    • I appreciate you encouraging words Holly. I simply have not had the time to write much. I have made a commitment to myself and to God to write more. I am not running my daycare any longer so that is a big freed up area of my life. Also a year ago my husband and I accepted a pastorate in our home town and it has been a growing congregation. We started with about 6 people in the congregation and a year later are running 70 so that takes up alot of our time. I do commit to writing more as I love to do so. Thanks for the reminder that God has a plan for my life.

  4. God is Good writer…there is nothing extraordinary about me. I appreciate the compliment, however, and I know that everything in my life is a direct result of trusting in God. It is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life and yet the most comforting.

I just try to keep God first in my life and never ever take credit for anything. I owe everything I have to His saving grace.

  5. Hi Jeannie. God does not make rubbish … He made you, and you have chosen to step into all He has for you! That, I believe, takes courage and places you, in my estimate, as extraordinary! But we can debate that another time, after I have had the chance to read some more!
I also love the daily scripture … ask … and it will be given to you … we have not for we ask not … (not the blab and grab concept … but heart felt asking a loving Father). I am being challenged by that so in visiting briefly this morning I have it in my psychie already 🙂 Thank you … Blessings, God is Good!

  6. Just found your blog and am looking forward to browsing through your posts and following your writing. I don’t see how you have ANY time to write- which is one of many reasons why I am interested in reading what you have to say! Five boys…I “only” have four! Blessings!
